Average Guys With Exceptional Hair

Shaun and I journeyed to Dallas Wednesday to watch our friends Woe, Is Me and two of our other fave bands, Motionless in White and A Skylit Drive on the "Average Guys with Exceptional Hair" tour. It was so freakin' sick! I had an ah-mazing time, despite the absolutely raging head/earache that was trying to kill me.

First off, WIM plays a crazy-awesome live show. These guys are young'uns, but they have serious performance skills. We took video of their set, so we'll be posting that soon. ;) Tyler's voice is incredible live, and definitely lived up to all my expectations! Oh, and did I mention they are also one good looking bunch of guys? Well, they are! I happen to disagree with the "Average Guys" part of the tour name.

We saw Motionless in White last week, and it was good to see them again so soon! This time around I got to take some photos, which will be forthcoming shortly! The lead singer, Chris, is SUCH a sweetheart. I know I said that in my last post, but it's SO true! He caught up with us while we were hanging with WIM to chat and give us hugs, which totally made my day. Then, he continued to make my day by totally ruling the stage! The crowd went absolutely NUTS during their set. :)

Last but certainly not least, my beloved ASD was fantastic. They are always so fun to watch! I'll be posting photos of them soon as well. Every single band member knows how to perform their butts off. They are so engaging, and like everyone else on this tour, they definitely don't fit the "Average Guys" bill! They are beyond awesome.

I can't end without a word about how awesome the venue was. The show was at The Prophet Bar, which is one of The Door venues in Dallas. Everyone who works there is really cool! The sound guy let us put our camera stuff in the booth, there was no obnoxious/self-important security guys, and they let me get up on the stage to take photos! I was in heaven. Even when I decided I wanted to stand up on a platform off to the side of the stage, no one made a fuss. Oh yeah, and the crowd was amazing too! :)
